GREED Page 10

I looked away, unable to tolerate these thoughts in my head. What would Ryder think. "Well you better get going bye Ace." I said, pulling his arm off the couch and dragging him to the floor.

"Princess," he whispered, "I didn't bring my own car, I drove your hunk of junk." He smirked, placing a stray hair behind my ear.

"Okay well kids, have fun at school, I really have to get going. Bye sweety." I immediately stepped back, I hadn't noticed how close we sat to one another. Mom hugged me and Aiden, smiling at us and walked out the door, her suitcase in hand.

"Bye Mrs. Gray!" Aiden shouted, pulling me off the floor and dragging us to the door, waving at mom as she sat in her car. "So, we've got the whole place to ourselves," he winked.

"Don't you have some strip club to get to." I said, my breath shaking a bit at the intensity he'd been looking at me with. I felt my heart rate accelerate and all he did was look at me.

I had to get away from Aiden, Ryder would be so mad to hear that I was spending time outside of work with Aiden Black.

"Nope." He said popping the P.

"Oh crap!" I gasped, realizing that I had been too distracted to ask mom for the key. "Oh no, no, I forgot to ask about the key, this is your fault." I turned to Aiden, my heart instantly racing.

I shifted my eyes to his shoes, or lack thereof. He was wearing socks and jeans and plain white shirt. He looked stunning, even though if I were to wear that outfit I'd probably would make it look like crap.

"Well princess, you're in luck because you can stay at my house," he smirked cheekily.

"No way." I elongated the words, no way was I ever going to spend another full day with this crazy maniac.

"Come on Summer, like old times." He smirked.

"Well, that really makes me want to spend the next two days of my life with you. No." I said sarcastically, recalling the party from last time. Aiden Black was a load of trouble about to happen.

"I guess you won't get to see Lucy then."

  "Lucy?"

"You forgot your own cars name?" He smirked playfully. I grimaced and walked back into the living room. I'd rather stay here and keep the house unlocked all day.

"Aiden, go home, what were you doing here anyway?" I asked, he walked up to my seat on the couch and sat beside me, turning his body to face me.

"Ok listen princess, I'm going to be honest with you. I asked your mom for the key yesterday so I could take it and make you stay at my house." I stared at him, was he serious or was this some joke?

  "Where is the key now?"

"In my pocket, if you want it, get it." He smirked evilly. He has four pockets on his pants, all of which seemed near body parts that I never wanted to see, much less touch.

  "And if you're lying?"

"Then you, my princess, will have the pride of saying that you got to touch Aiden Black." I smiled at him thoughtfully, slapping his arm, "Ouch! What was that for?"

"Well now I can say I touched Aiden Black." I smirked, an evil glint in my eye as he stared at me in disbelief, for once he seemed speechless. He looked best when he was speechless.

  Aiden Black

No words entered into my mind. She had her hand on my thigh and I don't think she even noticed. I wanted to jump her then and there.

I immediately stood up before I did something I regretted. Actually I wouldn't regret doing it, I'd just regret the scornful looks she'd give me afterward.

"I'll see you in your car. Bring clothes with you if you want. Actually don't, Stella doesn't care if you borrow." She glared at me, I knew she hated when I suggested stuff like that. She came downstairs with her backpack on and a small plastic bag of clothes in her arms. She walked right past me as though I was a ghost.

I followed behind her. Not until we finally sat in the car did I realize I had to use the restroom.

"I have to go use the bathroom." I said as she backed out of the driveway. Why wasn't she talking to me? She wasn't even looking at me.

"When we get to your house." She said coldly, staring at the road ahead.

  "Summer?"I asked. She ignored me.

"Summer." I said again, a small smile played on her lips, but again ignored me.

She quickly turned into my driveway and parked her car.

"Bye Ace, see you at school." She said, still not making eye contact with me.

"You're not coming in?" My face fell, staring at her as she tapped on the steering wheel.

  "Nope."

"Summer Gray." I said, placing my hand over hers, she looked at me, a strange look on her face, a mixture of disbelief and was that lust I saw.

"Aiden Black. I need you to get out of my car so I can get to school." She said, her face showing no emotion.

"All I'm hearing is that you need." I whispered, leaning closer as her eyes landed on our hands. She breathed a shaky breath, staring into my perfect blue eyes.

"Aiden," she whispered, her brain was saying no but her heart was saying yes. I could see it evidently in her expression. That was such a cheesy line.

"Summer." I whispered, my lips brushing hers. She looked at me stunned, her eyes shutting.

A honk of a horn pulled us away immediately.

"So she is your girlfriend." An annoyingly familiar voice said knocking on the window. Summer's cheeks turned bright red as she realized what we were about to do.

"Aiden get out of my car, I don't like you, I'm not crushing on you, so please just get out. Ryder was right." She said, ouch. I looked at her confused face for a minute. Who said anything about crushes?

"See you at school." I mumbled, stepping out of her car. I placed my hand in my pocket and shut the door.

"So what's her name?" The devil asked as I glared at him.

He was not someone I wanted to see today, or ever.

  Chapter 15: Twins

  Summer Gray

I can't believe Aiden almost kissed me. And I wanted to kiss him back. Something is utterly wrong with me.

  That's disgusting.

Nobody just kisses Aiden Black without taking it up to ten more levels.

I sat in my car, thinking of ways I could tell this to Ryder. I didn't even kiss Aiden so I don't think that counts as cheating, does it?

I arrived at the school and parked in my usual spot. Aiden's motorcycle pulled up a few moments later and he got out and knocked on my window.

"Did you dye your hair?" I asked, staring at his red hair. How did he have time to dye his hair in just a matter of minutes.

"No, I'm sorry ma'am, but you appear to be taking up two spots, mind if I ask you to move a bit?" He asked, too politely. Maybe the dye got to his head.

"Aiden?" I asked, "you're such a joke. " I laughed. He stared at me confused for a second, i opened my door only to realize I was taking two spots. I smiled embarrassed and fixed my parking.

  "Thank you ma'am."

"Since when does Aiden Black say thank you?" I laughed.

  "I'm not Aiden." He smirked.

"Well then who are you?" I laughed, playing along with his joke.

"I'm Adam. His twin brother." He smiled politely, fixing the tie he was wearing.

Aiden had a twin brother! That's awful, twice the hell these two will cause.

"Now don't get too excited, Summer is it? He's been talking about you all morning, the idiot won't shut up. But, I'm only here for today, if you have any questions, my little moron tells me you're staying at our house for two days. We'd get quite acquainted."

"You're kidding, you are not! He never talks about you. I mean, not to sound rude or anything." I said, feeling like this was a joke he was trying to pull.

Suddenly a black Bentley entered the parking lot, the face of Aiden inside, a frustrated look on his face. My eyes widened.

  There's two of them.

  Great. Perfect. Excellent.

  Ryder King

Today I was going to ask Summer to Homecoming. I had the entire thing planned for weeks.

I had my guys from the baseball team set everything
up. When she walked into the cafeteria this morning, I'd have them do a flash mob, sort of,and in the end I'd give her roses and ask her.

I was super nervous, shaking even.

The entire crowd in the cafeteria would be in for a nice surprise when they heard the song playing and the baseball team singing and dancing along.

It would be perfect, I just knew it.

"When is she going to be here?" Steven, one of my friends, asked, staring at his watch.

I was eagerly awaiting her arrival. Mike would toss me the roses, I'd get down on one knee and ask. The scheme had played in my head for a while, I don't know if I'm going to pull it off.

  Suddenly Ryan ran in.

"She's coming!" He shouted as everyone got ready for the performance. And with the amazing gesture, and the crowd watching, she was bound to say yes.

"Summer" they began singing as she walked in with none other than her boss, Aiden Black.

I was pissed. I'd gone through all this trouble to ask her and she walks into the Cafeteria with that mutt! And he'd dyed his hair red. What an attention hog.

I glared at him, then turned my attention to her face.

She looked extremely surprised, her eyes landed on me as she laughed in astonishment. I felt my heart fill up with love for this beautiful woman. I walked up to her when the song ended.

"You're not going to propose are you?" She joked laughing, a wide smile on her face, I took her hand in mine.

"Summer Gray." The cafeteria went completely silent, "Will you do me the honor of going homecoming with me?" I gave her a hopeful smile. One of my friends pushed the back of my knee, I'd forgotten to kneel down. I immediately did.

"Yes, yes!" She said, a wide smile on her face as I stood up and kissed her. I handed the roses to her, making sure Aiden was watching.

"I love you." I whispered, hugging her.

"I know." She laughed, leaving behind Aiden and walking with me.

I wanted to destroy that rich, spoiled jerk who got everything he wanted. Well he wasn't getting my Summer.

  Aiden Black

I walked into the loud obnoxious noises in the cafeteria. In the center of it all stood Summer and Ryder, he was on one knee and she had her hand in front of her mouth in shock.

The whole school seemed to be going crazy. This day was just crazy.

They all had their phones out, taking pictures of the couple, only they didn't know he'd cheated on her.

She smiled as Ryder stood up and handed her the roses, his eyes met mine as he snarled his lip and kissed her.

I wanted to kill him. And then Summer for being an idiot.

"Thought she was your girlfriend?" Adam, my twin brother said, crossing his arms like he was superior.

"I'm working on it." I smirked, pretending his words didn't affect me.

Adam was always the more mature one, and the one my parents traveled the world to see. He owned his own clothes line and worked on it all in England. So my dad always buying Black Suits. That was what my perfect brother named the company.

He was wealthy and had all the girls in the world, not that I cared, I had the Luzerne. He visited occasionally but mainly just to boast about his new best suit design or the women he slept with.

Mom and dad had picked him to be their favorite, which is why they based most of their business meetings meaningfully in England.

"She's a cute one, but what happened to not being the relationship kind of guy."

"Shut up." I muttered, annoyed that he'd taken my motorcycle, declaring that I should be nice since he would only be here today.

I wished he'd leave already, that motorcycle stealing thief.

Summer seemed to be completely surprised to see Adam. She'd thought I'd hired someone to clone a good mannered Aiden. Her words not mine.

Life just didn't seem to be fair today.

I glared at Adam's annoying smirk, if I looked like that then I may as well eat dirt! He was awful in my eyes.

Then start eating. I pictured Summer's voice in my head. I shook it off.

  I'm Aiden Black.

I don't do relationships or love or any of that mushy stuff.

I walked outside of the cafeteria, my annoying brother following me around.

"Show me the school." He suggested, staring at me.

"No." I crossed my arms, watching people roaming the halls.

"Where are your friends? That's right you don't have any." He smirked. I glared at him, pinning some random girl to the wall and kissing the daylights out of her.

He tapped my shoulder, staring at her.

"Mind if I have a turn?" He pushed me aside and twirled her, then he kissed her. She giggled loudly, "Thank you Miss. . ." He winked.

"Raina." She smiled widely, hoping she could kiss him again. I rolled my eyes.

Always has to be better than me.

She walked away, looking back at him.

"Can't wait for the excitement tonight." He laughed staring at Summer as she walked out holding Ryder's hand. I couldn't handle looking at her happy with that cheating asshole. How could she actually have forgiven that cheating little tramp.

"I'll kill you if you touch her." I warned, glaring at him.

"Well. Typical of you my idiot brother, falling for taken women." I was just glad he would be gone by tomorrow, then I could spend the whole day with Summer Gray.

I snickered at my thoughts, that Rhymed.

I sat impatiently on the couch as Amy ran down the stairs.

"When are you firing the doll killer?" She raised her eyebrow, her squeaky voice was adorable.

  "I'm not."

"Why not!" She yelled, hugging her teddy bear.

"Because I'm greedy," I smirked, that word fit everything I've been wanting, but Amy wouldn't understand, so I added, "I want two maids instead of one."

"Aiden, she doesn't even wash my clothes!" She complained, "I've been wearing the same outfits for a month!"

"Amy, your closet has more than thirty outfits, she's only been working here for three weeks, almost four, give her a break, it's her first job."

"Okay, but when she burns your doll, don't come crying to me." She laughed, referring to my Buzz lightyear action figure that I've had since I was seven.

"Buzz is an action figure." I laughed, grabbing her and tickling her sides.

  "Amy!" Adam shouted walking in.

"Adam!" She screamed, "you're finally home! What presents did you get me?"

Always had to show off too.

"I brought you a doll house." He laughed, "It's in Aiden's car outside."

I glared at him as he shrugged, taking a seat on the couch.

"When's Summer getting here, let's Par-Tay!" He shouted, laughing.

"Not right now obviously." I scoffed.

He stole my car. This asshole, I wanted to kill him even more now.

"But I don't have any dolls, the maid burned them all. They're in the trash." Amy shouted, trying to get our attention. Her cute sad expression was one to warm an ice cold heart. Like Adam's hideous heart.

"Hey Aiden, I kind of added a little too much soap or bleach or whatever it's called to the washer and it kind of. . ." Summer began, barging in like she owned the place, "Oh Hey Adam, I didn't know you were here." She smiled. This was unbelievable.

"Not here, huh?" Adam said in a low voice.

  "Shut up." I muttered.

"Summer, it's so good to see you! How was your day? And Congratulations for homecoming, you and that guy look great together." He was such a suck up.

Summer looked at me and turned back to Adam.

"Thanks Adam, you're so sweet." She smiled, then began talking to me, "So the entire laundry room is kind of full of soapy water right now." She gave me a nervous look, as though I'd be mad.

  I was amused actually.

"I told you we should fire her!" Amy walked in with a box as tall as herself.

"Amy!" Adam warned, "Come on let's go set it up!" I looked Summer.

I had a queasy look on my perfect face as she looked anywhere but my eyes.

  Chapter 16: Amusement Parks

  Aiden Black

"Yeah there was one time Aiden stuck a bean in his ear and it didn't come out 'till two weeks later." Adam laughed.

"How dumb would you have to be to stick a bean up your ear." Summer giggled as I glared at them both.

"Oh yeah!" I challenged, "Well Adam used to practice his first kisses with teddy bears until he actually kissed as girl." Summer began giggling, this time Adam glared at me.

His phone began buzzing loudly. Please be his company calling and saying they need him. Please. Please. God! I'd never said a prayer before, I guess this sort of counts as one.

  Those things work.

"Now?" He asked. "Okay. See you there." He hung up, turning to Summer. "I have to go, you're free to join me to the airport if you like."

"No, she's busy." I glared stubbornly. He stared at me, a small smile on his face as his eyes gestured to Summer. "Shouldn't you get going?"

"Bye little bro, bye little bro's crush." He laughed.

"I was born thirty seconds after you. That doesn't make you older."

"Yeah it does, by thirty seconds." He smirked, hopping off the couch and heading to the door. Summer thought it would be polite to follow him. I watched ands they disappeared from my sight. I stood up and followed them.

"Bye Adam!" Summer hugged him goodbye and shut the door.

I sighed a huge sigh of relief, walking back to the living room and taking and seat on the couch. Adam left the house. Finally.

I rested my head on the couch, my arms behind it.

"Adam's so sweet." Summer laughed walking in and sitting on the opposite couch.

"I've been told." I smirked, staring at her.

"Why can't you be more like him?" She laughed as I rolled my eyes. "So why haven't you fired me yet? I practically flooded your house."

"The key word there is almost."

  "I said practically."

"Same thing, let me make it up to you." I grinned an evil plan stirring in my mind.

"And how are you going to do that?" She crossed he arms, staring at me.

"Hmm. I've got two ideas in mind."

"Aiden." She rolled her eyes, knowing I was referring to stuff I do at the Luzerne.
